Everybody wonders
Everyone has their price
It's just a matter of where you set it
So when you wonder
Consider this advice
You'd be better to forget it
All eyes are on you, can you feel it?
The sensation of the spotlight
All eyes are on you, can you feel it now?
They'll get you, infect you
Strut you out for all to see,
and start to get you hooked on their supply
They'll get you, infect you
No one here will protect you,
another victim joins the chorus line
Take the stage, dim the lights
the curtain call is calling
Will you make it through the night,
or just keep falling down down down down down down down down down?
They'll get you, infect you
Strut you out for all to see,
and start to get you hooked on their supply
They'll get you, infect you
No one here will protect you,
another victim joins the chorus line
Cut a sandbag with a knife
Watch it flow down to the floor
If this really is your life, then you can't take it any more
Take your place, center stage,
watching, waiting for the fall
The chandelier shatters around you
safe and bathed in cheap applause
They'll get you, infect you
Strut you out for all to see,
and start to get you hooked on their supply
They'll get you, infect you
No one here will protect you,
another victim joins the chorus line
All eyes are on you, can you feel it?
That sensation of the spotlight
All eyes are on you, can you feel it now?
They'll get you, infect you
Strut you out for all to see,
and start to get you hooked on their supply
They'll get you, infect you
No one here will protect you,
another victim joins us
Oh, we'll get you, infect you
Strut you out for all to see,
and start to get you hooked on our supply
We'll get you, infect you
We won't deign to protect you,
another victim joins us, joins us, joins the chorus line
The latest album by The Mechanisms, a group of storytelling space-pirates who retell tales of mythology as epic folk/prog/rock concept albums. This one's about Viking mythology, on a train, in space. Ben Below
The first album I've produced, and played many instruments on to boot - another storytelling concept album from one of the Mechanisms, R L Hughes. Ben Below
The collaborative album writing challenge with colleagues, to write a 15 song album in a month. It turned out super sweet, and I'm in a good two thirds of the tracks in some capacity! Ben Below
This is a great adaptation of Arthuriana and a brilliant narrative album. I love how the queerness of the characters is handled as an integral part of the narrative and plot development without it being the end all be all of the characters themselves. my boy Gawain deserved better though maritarvaniti
Two slabs of surfy psych-rock instrumentals from a group that's been doing it longer than you've been alive, probably. Bandcamp New & Notable May 7, 2024
